I love it! This journal is not only more attractive in person, it is perfect for anyone who desires to give God Himself the thanks! I found many gratitude journals that focus on "positive energy" or worse, "the universe," so this is a refreshing opportunity to give thanks TO THE LORD, for He is good! :-)

I liked the layout of the book. Particularly that the dates are not preprinted. The writing space is adequate but not excessive.

I purchased a number of these books to give my Trek AWANA class in our closing awards ceremony. I challenged them to write at least one thing each day that they were grateful for. I hope it teaches them that no matter how bad things are in your life, you can always find something to be grateful for.

This is a nice gratitude journal for the price. It is compact simple and easy to use. It would be nice to have more space to write your daily entries. Each section is equivalent to about 1/4 of a page so there's not much space if you have more than 1 or 2 entries. There is a scripture in between each section to write an entry opposed to there being a scripture before each individual daily entry.

This was a gift as a door prize at a Sunday School functionIt was a hit and several others wanted to know where I got itSo they could order one. It's a small book but easy to carry or put in your Bible.

I was looking for a simple, inexpensive gratitude journal for myself and this fit the bill. I really appreciate the Bible verses throughout its pages. It's attractive and light weight for easy travel.

I love this book! Gratitude is our family’s focus this year and this journal really helps to keep me on track! It’s just the right length that I don’t feel overwhelmed and feel like I need to sit down for 30 minutes to write. I sit for maybe 5 or 10 minutes and it’s just enough to put me in the right mindset. And if I want to think about it some more, I can!

Such a nice simple journal. I really have enjoyed using it and like the Bible verse on each page. Writing in it really does help me realize just how blessed I really am!!!! I plan on getting more in the future as gifts.

Repetative. Unlikable protagonists. 2 stars because I skimmed through to the end, but it took awhile, had to keep putting it down because the characters kept doing ridiculous things. "We have to leave, there's something horrible happening in this house! " 10 minutes later, some character - "This house is fine, I'm very comfortable here." Ugh.

The premise for this book is good, but the way the story is told makes it tedious reading. The author tells the story of the strange happenings at Kim and Julian's new house through Kim's thoughts. The author tells the reader what Kim is thinking, page after page after page, over and over and over. Occasionally something happens. Kim screams, husband Julian comes running, and Julian explains it away with logic. He doesn't believe her, so eventually she stops telling him things. Then one day Kim freaks out and wants to leave. He agrees to take her away from the house so they can discuss it. Of course, the car won't start. Instead of calling for help, they stay in the house, have dinner, watch a movie, and fall asleep on the couch. When she awakens in the middle of the night, she starts wandering through the house. Really? Spoiler alert: The bad thing is upstairs. Julian awakes to Kim's screaming and finds her unquestionably dead in a closet. He goes downstairs to get the phone to call for help, but when he gets back upstairs, the body is gone. At this point, he hangs up on the dispatcher. Again, really?! The rest of the story involves Julian's thoughts, page after page after page, as he searches for his wife. Is she alive? Dead? At no point does he try to leave or get help from the authorities. The ending is predictable. These characters are unsympathetic and not very smart. Things happened that were supposed to be scary, but they just made me laugh. This book is poorly written and ridiculous.

The writer does a very good job building suspense,but then does little with it. My first question is, why are these two people, the main characters, married? They don't seem to particularly like each other. She refers to him as a bully, and he is very condescending toward her. How could the old man possibly be an apparition? He drives a pickup. What is the signifigance of the white masks? They're mentioned several times. What, exactly, was Dakota's baby, and where did it come from? Why is Dakota always naked? There are too many loose ends--I kept reading, almost all night, and got very few answers. There are some very poignant moments, however, when the old couple are waiting for their 'child' to come home. The writer shines in those scenes. It is too bad the main characters weren"t more likable--their lack of a personal connection with each other detracts from the story.

Although I read a lot I rarely write reviews. A book has to be really good or really bad to prompt me to write a review. This book was REALLY GOOD. Scary without being gory. Very scary as a matter of fact. I told my husband I would never read it if he was going to be out of town. The only thing I can say that might be construed as a negative is the author's use of some words which, in some cases, I do not feel were used correctly in the sentences they appeared and in other cases I felt they did not flow with the rest of the writing style. However, this did not prevent my overall enjoyment of the book nor would it prevent me from reading other books by this author.

One of the best in the horror genre that I've read in quite a long time. I'm rather a veteran of the genre, and it takes a lot to spook me. This one certainly did. I have some minor quibbles with the main characters - I would have preferred to like them more, greater pathos. Regardless ... Excellent read!

The concept is good and interesting but the plot was not well de developed it listed the trail at some points and the end felt hurried, there are some details that are not answered.

I enjoyed getting to know the characters, and the supernatural twist. I don't really enjoy malformed creatures in books. It is hard to picture them in my mind.

Some scarry parts worth reading. I would have liked it to move faster, but it really painted an eerie picture!

Let me begin by saying this isn't a bad book, but it doesn't begin to compare with "Gaia's Garden". A look at the index will explain why. The index is a whole 2-pages long. Would you like to look up "no-till"? You won't find it under either N or T. Sphagnum peatmoss? Not under S or P. Lots of drawings, and some of them useful, even if a bit amateurishly executed. In short. It's useful, but a bit too heavy with ideology and light on instructive info. Again, for an understanding of the importance of permaculture and ecology, there are better books than this.

This is my favorite Permaculture book so far. I've read several, but "Earth User's Guide to Permaculture" seems to have the most practical, hands-on information. It is presented in an easy to understand format, with exercises that will help the reader gain the necessary skills. A wonderful overview of Permaculture.

Most permaculture books spend hours talking about design methodologies and theory. Rosemary shows the practices in action and the results.Of particular benefit is the design analysis at the beginning of each chapter. It is basically a why and why not section. "What results will we get with this way of thinking"One of the previous reviewers talked about the Liberal leanings but I didn't pick that up. Sure there is the "cars are bad message" and not everything here can be followed to the letter. But regardless of how permaculture helps the environment it will help us be more self-sufficient. And that's coming from a crazy Libertarian. So there...I'm lucky I stumbled upon this book before I started working on my vacation property. I plan to put many of these suggestions into action and observe. I've learned a lot in this book that I've tried and adapted to my way of thinking into my blog at [...] and my podcast "The Self-Sufficient Gardener".

Used for biomechanics class for graduate mechanical engineering studies, decent read, good information. We didn't use the book quite as much as notes and papers but it worked well to compliment the class.

Older but decent textbook that is both simple and technical for a variety of readers.

The book looks as good as new ! As far as the content goes, well, a few chapters don't seem to emerge from the preceding ones which sometimes can be a void space for no reason. But yeah, I'm satisfied with what I have and I plan to keep this book with me for good as a collection :) !

This textbook does a fair job of covering the signifigant aspects of Bio-Mechanics. It is interesting that the chapters cover some theory of the subject and some current research summaries. If you are looking for a text on just the "engineering/math" aspects, this book may have too many other topics included. But for someone interested in seeing how the discussed concepts (bone generation, cartliage properties, etc) interact with real world research and findings, this book is a good example.

Has pages in it that are photo copied and pasted in the book. It will make it horrible for resale unless I do the same dueshy thing.
