We have The Big Honey Hunt, which my kids love, and after visiting a local children's museum with a Berenstain Bears exhibit, I noticed that they had written similar books. I came home and ordered this one right away. It is a cute book and my kids enjoy it. I think the illustrations are fabulous. This book is easy to read and on a younger level than their regular series; it keeps my 2 year old's attention as well as my 4 year olds. I would recommend it along with The Big Honey Hunt and The Bears' Picnic.

I love the original Berenstain Bears books and so do my kids. They are wonderfully illustrated and the rhyme and meter are second to none. I was born and raised on these stories and I bought them for my children when they were born. "Inside, Outside, Upside Down" was the first book by daughter learned to read on her own. She is seven years old now and still loves them. These are timeless classics that you can pass on to your children and grandchildren. Buy them all now!

Children love reading about getting to do things grown ups do. Little boy bears want to do what Daddy bear can do so this is a favorite of boys I have know though out my life. Giving it to my youngest grandson was just another moment of joy.

Bought it because i was taking a trip to FL that included a stop in SoBe and i like to walk and observe architecture. The book helped explain the styles and what to look for. When I walked around i found many of the structures were partially covered by trees and bushes and some surrounded by tons of traffic. So it was nice to have the pictures to see the entire structure. He must have taken the photos on a holiday morning when no one was out and about. I had download the book to my kindle and carried it with me for reference. The entire SoBe area is rich with '30's and '40's architecture and there's more to see than what's in the book. For the architecture aficionado, don't overlook the neighborhoods with MiMo style buildings in NoBe.

This book - purchased in Kindle edition - is useful for the visitor who is seriously interested in learning basic facts about the South Beach buildings. It gives clear directions - not yet tested on the ground though, by this reviewer. The book has a useful glossary, but no further reading list.

I was looking for photos of Art Deco buildings. There were a lot of them and narrative about the photos. Definitely worth my .99 cents.

The IS very cool guide.

However, for anyone interested in this book, there are a few assumptions that are made in prerequisite knowledge.*good knowledge of the c language.*knowledge about how to set up compilers (this is required to be able to compile the code as the compiler won't automatically compile the code)

I did not know a thing about the subject. After reading this book (of the library) I learnt a lot about the subject and today I use it regularly in my code. I think the book is so good that I bought one.

A very good book with intro to C language refresher. Its good for people with medium level expertise in C language , it covers quite a number of Libs, Really good for a beginner.

I purchased this for an intro course on parallel programming and didn't really find it helpful at all in actually learning how to implement most of the theory in the book. I don't really get why this is getting such high praise. Better off going to google and getting help there as the examples are severely lacking (looking particularly at the chapter covering the traveling salesman problem)

Looks useful for getting started the the pthreads method, after I get started with a compatible C++ compiler.

The Kindle format for this book is really hard to read. A typewriter font is often used for variable names. Unfortunately when switching between this font and the common font a line break is inserted. This makes it difficult to determine where a paragraph ends. It also means that many lines begin with end punctuation which also makes it difficult to read.

Book #1 of Nightmare Before Christmas: Zero's Journey was a quick and fun read!I cruised right through this book! It only took me about fifteen minutes to read it. Granted I was so anxious to see what was going to happen next, I didn't take my usual time looking at the artwork. So of course, when I finished the story, I went back to get a better look at the art... Which of course, I just loved!I was very excited to see that this was fully colored! When I read the preview, I was curious to see if this would be full color or if we would go back to the black and white style of Tim Burton's The Nightmare Before Christmas by Jun Asuka. I really enjoyed how dark the Halloween Town panels were, especially when compared to the brighter panels from Christmas Town!Overall, I thought that the story was interesting! I like that Zero ends up back in Christmas Town where he learns more about the holiday first hand. Jack is clearly still a bit obsessed with the holiday!

This book is intended as a sequel to the original film we all know and love. I have to say, I was instantly swept back into that nostalgic world Tim Burton created for us to enjoy on the screen some 25 years ago when I opened to those first pages. The characters all feel very much the same as they were when we last met them. Nothing in the story feels contrived or out of place. And Jack, of course, is my favorite character still! The way the dialogue and imagery is woven together here is done masterfully, in my opinion. I simply cannot wait for the next three installments in this series. If the remaining installments are done right, these will have my eternal adoration. (Can we get this story in film format, please?!) Well done!

When Jack starts absently playing fetch with Zero, Zero ends up in the grove of holidays and ends up in Christmas Town. He makes new friends like flying reindeer and a friendly elf that takes him in. Jack is worried about his friend, but too busy to go looking so he asks for help from an unlikely group.This manga collects issues 0-4 of the series. I enjoyed reading this one, and I liked that it was full color. The art and story should appeal to young readers who like the movie.I received a review copy of this manga from Tokyopop, Diamond Book Distributors, and NetGalley in exchange for an honest review. Thank you for allowing me to review this manga.

Sooo I don’t get it...why is it backward??? I wish I had read the other reviews before ordering...oh well. We saw this in a store and it wasn’t backwards so I didn’t think anything about it. I didn’t even really notice when we got it (ordered for my daughters birthday). My husband asked me if it and before I contacted Amazon to return it I re-read the reviews and description and sure enough....I guess it’s on purpose. I just wish it clearly stated it in the description

When I first saw the cover I was exciting to see and read about the actress who I watched on GGTD and Good Girls. I didn't even know she was a comedian, but turns out this girl is funny! Yes language is rough, but it gives you the chance to see the real personality she has. Its a great read and very funny.

Retta is my spirit animal. I laughed so much that I spat out the beverage I was drinking while reading and almost choked. Life is too short to not laugh every day! Do yourself the favor and buy this book. I promise you that it will be good for your health.

Loved this, couldn’t put it down. Reading this is like hanging out with your best friend, IF your best friend is hilarious. Couldn’t relate to the coffee or handbag obsession but I still wanted to hear all about it. I CAN relate to the Hamilton obsession and I’m totally jelly cause Retta has seen it SIX times and I’ve only seen it once. I loved the chapter about the celebrity encounters at awards shows and I wished that chapter would go on forever.

Before purchasing this book I read all of the reviews, good and bad, and decided to go ahead and purchase it.I liked the format, with all of the sidebars and profiles, and all of the photographs.If one is looking for a "how-to" book, this isn't it. It is a basic overview of old school espionage, and the then tools of the trade.One reviewer stated that you can't suppress a revolver. Well, yes you can. Both the Nagant M1895, described in this book, and another Russian designed weapon the OTs-38, are suppressible. It's a combination of the cartridge design and the cylinder action when the weapon is cocked.Overall it was a fun read and I would recommend this book to anyone with an interest in how they did things, before computers. Yes, there was a time when there were no computers. It's amazing how civilization has lasted as long as it has without them! :-)

I purchased this book used from a Goodwill but it is surprisingly like new. This book is an absolute must have for anyone into espionage. I borrowed the book some years ago from a public library and it's been on my mind since. There is some great history here with amazing photographs. Nice book!

This shows spy equipment from WWII to the cold war. It is a really interesting book with lots of pictures. It is a great companion to Spycraft: The Secret History of the CIA's Spytechs, from Communism to Al-Qaeda, which tells the history of espionage from the cold war and beyond.

I'm fully satisfied.

The author is very knowledgeable and his collection of "gadgets" is truly astonishing.

John Richardson is the author of a multivolume biography on the life of Picasso; the fourth and final volume is forthcoming.
